I've eaten here a few times already and I'd say it's one of the better KBBQ places in North County SD. It's a bit on the pricey side but the food is amazing. There are a lot of options to choose from on the menu. It has all the meats you would expect. Gotta get the steamed egg! This restaurant is pretty big and can accommodate big parties. I'll definitely be coming back here again the next time I'm craving some KBBQ.

Food 10-10 Service 10-10 Ambiance 10 fun atmosphere 2nd Time and Olleh Has never disappointed it's amazing

The restaurant is nice and food is pretty good and some of the side dishes are better than other Korean BBQ restaurants. However, the music was not only too loud but the music selection was inappropriate for dining and public places. The songs being played was so offensive, with lyrics like mother f. I plan to return and I'll mention it to management if it happens again.

The prime menu is worth the money. Service was hot and miss. It depends on which waiter or waitress you get. Must haves: Tiger shrimps, short ribs, beef tongues, and spicy pork. Shrimp (prime): 4.5/5. Very fresh and sweet! Short ribs (prime): 4/5. Very tender! Beef Fingers (prime): 3/5. Nothing special. Will skip next time Rib-eye (prime): 3.5/5. Very tender. Short ribs were bette tho. Probably will skip next next time Teriyaki pork belly: 1/5. Must avoid. Nothing special. They do give you a lot. It's just a waste of room in your stomach. Honey pork bulgogi: 4/5. Kids' favorite. If you have sweet tooth, go for it; otherwise, just let the kids have it. Spicy pork: 4.5/5. It was good, but it would be better if it was spicier. Beef tongue (prime): 5/5. Can't complain. Maude sure you don't over cook. Marinated too Blade (4/5): Very tender as well. Steamed egg: 4/5. The soup was full of flavor. The egg went really well with it. Sesame Balls: 0/5. They were not fully cooked.

Usually Asian eateries establish themselves in the Convoy District before expanding elsewhere in the greater SD area. That wasn't the case with Olleh Korean BBQ as they opened their first location in Rancho Bernardo. The seating was plentiful including an enclosed outdoor patio area. The inside was sleek and modern with the ventilation fans perched high above each of the tables. It was one of the better setups I have seen for Korean BBQ. My initial visit for a weekend dinner went quite well. I stuck with the Premium menu instead of opting for the Prime. The selection of proteins was pretty reasonable for the price. The variety of banchan dishes was solid, and they even offered a steamed egg. I selected the following meats for my meal. * Olleh Beef Bulgogi * Marinated Top Blade * Volcano Pork Belly * Beef Brisket Of these, the marinated beef top blade was my favorite. The order basically came as two pieces of good quality steak. I didn't think paying the extra cost for the other menu was worthwhile. The additional items that were available on that list didn't justify the higher charge. Overall, I gave Olleh Korean BBQ four stars as this neighborhood now has a great option for AYCE Korean BBQ without having to drive farther south.

Great KBBQ place! This was one of the KBBQ places that was open for lunch when I arrived in San Diego and really enjoyed this place! They have 2 menus for AYCE and my group chose the cheaper one. There was already many meat choices on the cheaper one and I usually want chadol (thinly sliced beef) but I try the other meats that others order. I care more about the kitchen items, sides provided in an AYCE KBBQ. Olleh delivered on that for sure. I liked most of their ban chans, the salad was crisp and lightly seasoned. LOVED THE SESAME BALLS. They have bigger meat portions and we were pleasantly surprised. My group and I arrived here prolly couple minutes after they opened on a weekday so there wasn't a wait. I think lunch would be a good time to dine here cause I could see this place being more busy at dinner. But I prefer to eat more during the day so an AYCE KBBQ for lunch was perfect. Highly recommend this place. Great staff. Phillip was a great worker. Always gave us a new tray to cook our meat if it was smelling/looking burnt. Great food and good price!

I have had friends tell me to eat KBBQ at Olleh and let me tell you they do not disappoint! We opted for the Prime menu which at the time was $41.99 per person, definitely a lot pricier than other restaurants but very worth it. We came on a Monday night, our friends live right across the street, so we were able to walk over. The place is super modern, clean and the ambience is so fun and inviting. Our table already had a couple starters, their house salad, japchae, kimchi and a krab salad, they also had so many great "kitchen items" to choose from too! I obviously had to try their steamy egg and the crispy chicken with sauce, I really wish they had fish cakes though that would have been so grand! The steamy eggs were probably one of the best I've had and the crispy chicken with sauce was so good, I kept the plate so I could have a little sauce for some of my meats! We ordered a lot of food, from ribeye steak to octopus and tiger shrimp! Plus the Prime menu has cheese sticks so my husband had to have it, in total we had 10 orders! The ribeye had a really good fat cap and was so juicy, I had it served with rice and a little bit of the crispy chicken sauce. We also got a bottle of "fresh" soju because all the other flavors were sold out. I really really hope they get other options for flavors because that was not it, it tasted like watered down gin and not in a good way. That was my only merp. But the service was wonderful, I think we met the owner, he had a fabulous silk button up and looked so chic! He was helping to get food out and checking on tables. Our server changed out grill so often and always made sure we had enough food on our tables. I would say this was definitely worth the price, since my friends live across the street we'd have to come back when we visit!

We went on a late weekend afternoon to try out this place. They are located in the same plaza as Barons and there was ample parking. Friend was already there so we were able to get a table quickly. Our server was friendly and helpful. The banchan was already on each table. It included salad, kimchi, potato salad, glass noodles. There were three dipping sauces as well. We opted for the cheaper AYCE option which was around $31/pp. I wish we were more hungry as the menu had quite a few options. We tried : - red potato (served raw so it needs to grill for a while) - cheese fondue - corn cheese - brisket (needed more fat) - beef belly - galbi (my favorite and it was delicious) - squid (too large and chewy) - fried dumplings (probably not home made) Our grill was changed once which was nice of them. There is quite a bit of smoke even though there are plenty of vents. We would come back again if we were in the area.
